Christmas soup: 6x soup as a starter
If you serve soup in small glasses, it looks really fancy on the Christmas table. Today I have bundled six ideas to serve soup as a starter or in-between dish at your Christmas dinner. From a pumpkin sweet potato soup to a spicy mustard soup and a fresh gazpacho. There are many possibilities to serve a low FODMAP soup as a starter
Low FODMAP Gazpacho
This cold Spanish soup always does well at Christmas dinners. Because you serve the soup cold, you can prepare it beforehand. That is easy when you are planning different courses.
Mustard soup
This spicy mustard soup with bacon is perfect to serve in a small portion. To make this soup you make a roux from gluten-free flour, lactose-free milk and butter. And add stock and mustard to this. Adding rice cream turns this into a beautiful creamy soup.
Pumpkin Sweet Potato soup
This soup has a very special flavour. The sweet potato gives the soup a distinguishable sweet flavour. This is perfect in combination with the roasted pumpkin and coconut milk.
Clear mushroom soup
This low FODMAP mushroom soup is a light soup. A perfect way to start a dinner with many courses. Easy to make, but very tasty!
Zucchini carrot soup with coconut milk
A super simple soup with zucchini and carrot. The combination of carrot with zucchini is delicious and the coconut milk makes it very creamy!
Tomato soup with meat balls
Also a classic tomato soup with meatballs makes a great starter. Everybody loves it, so it is an ideal way to start your dinner.
