Low FODMAP chocolate pecan banana ice cream
When summer comes I always feel like eating ice cream. I do indulge in a delicious Italian ice cream now and then (because Italian ice cream is the best), but sometimes it is also nice to make a healthy choice.
Then banana ice cream is the perfect solution! Super creamy and refreshing and a bit more healthy than normal ice cream!
I already shared a recipe for banana ice cream breakfast before, this time, it is a refreshing dessert!
This low FODMAP chocolate pecan banana ice cream reminds me of a healthier variant of Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey!

Description
A healthy dessert made of frozen bananas. Low FODMAP chocolate pecan banana ice cream! Very refreshing. Gluten-free and lactose-free.
Ingredients
- 4 bananas, in pieces, frozen
- Optional: 50 ml lactose-free milk or yoghurt
- 50 gr pecans
- 50 gr dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Put the bananas together with the lactose-free milk and the yoghurt in a blender. Milk or yoghurt is optional. I usually use it, because it makes the ice cream a bit more creamy and I like the sour taste of the yoghurt in the ice cream.
- Blend until you get a creamy ice cream mixture.
- Chop the pecans and the chocolate chips and stir them into the ice cream.
- Serve the ice cream immediately or put it back into the freezer for it to get more solid.
- Prep Time: 10 min
